The World Sabaki Federation

The World Sabaki Federation has a history and legacy of providing Strong Leadership in serving Martial Artist around the world since 1997. Kaicho Narker and some of his close associates, began to think about forming a Budo Organisation due to the large number of enquiries from like-minded Martial Artists who were in general, dissatisfied with existing groups and, who wanted to belong to a progressive, yet traditional oriented Organisation.

Kaicho Narker began to contact his friends, seeking to gather Instructors who could develop the Structure of the New group. In August 1998, the Shin Budo Kai (New Martial Arts Association) was born, with supporters throughout South Africa and overseas. Initially the main idea was to get together on a regular basis for training and the sharing of information and to support member dojos with their events and activities like tournaments, camps, etc.

This later grew where the ShinBudoKai, operating under an “umbrella” type structure, started to provide a home for those martial artists that may not wish, or qualify for membership within other respected national organisations. With the continued interest and growth, services later expanded and we started to offer two forms of membership, Associate and Full Membership.

In the 2000’s we evolved into the World Full Contact Karate Federation to the World Contact Karate Federation to eventually the World Sabaki Federation with Ashihara Karate as its guiding association.

The special contributions of both the Senior Master’s and the Federation’s Members were the essential ingredients to make the WSF “Working Partnership” grow into the organisation which exists today.
